Questions

Common questions.

Why does macOS warn me the first time I open Tachy?

Tachy is signed, but not with a paid Apple Developer ID. So the first time it opens, macOS says it can't check Tachy for malware, and asks you to confirm it in System Settings. You do this once. The download page explains each step.

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel.

What's free, and what does Pro add?

Every module, its dropdown, up to 30 days of history, alert rules and Combined are free, and stay free. Pro adds the edge panel and Claude usage. See pricing.

What does Pro cost, and what happens when it ends?

$5 for 1 year, $10 for 3 years or $15 for 5 years. One payment, not a subscription. When it ends, the edge panel and Claude usage turn off, your settings for them are kept, and everything else keeps working.

How many Macs can I use my license on?

All of your own. A license is for one person, on any number of Macs they use. Please don't share or resell it.

How does renewing work?

Buy another license, any time. If your current one hasn't ended yet, the new one starts when it does, so renewing early loses nothing.

What if I lose my license?

Write to support-tachy@inferxgate.com from the address you bought it with, and we'll send it again.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Ask within 7 days of buying for a full refund, no questions asked. See the refund policy.

What does Claude usage need?

Claude Code, and a Claude Pro or Max plan. Claude usage works with Claude Code: Tachy runs your own copy to read your limits. It never reads Claude Code's tokens or claude.ai cookies, and sends us nothing.

Does Tachy collect data?

No. There are no analytics. The app only contacts tachy.inferxgate.com, to check for updates, and sends its version number. The privacy policy has the details.

Where is my history kept?

On your Mac, in a database in Tachy's folder in your Library. It never leaves your Mac, and uninstalling Tachy deletes it.

Uninstalling Tachy

  1. Open Tachy from your Applications folder, so its settings window is in front.
  2. In the menu bar, choose Tachy → Uninstall Tachy…, and confirm.
  3. Tachy removes itself from the menu bar and Login Items, deletes its settings and history, and puts back Claude Code's status line if you connected it. Then it quits and shows the app in Finder.
  4. Move Tachy to the Trash.
